Bio
Oscar Ruiz is an artist based in Washington who primarily works with 2D illustrations and character design. Oscar received his Studio Art BA from Eastern Washington University in 2026. He has found a new love and a deeper appreciation for painting. Oscar continues to pursue painting as he finds it to be the perfect practice for landscapes and coloring, on top of his traditional drawings. Oscar has also dabbled in ceramics as a test of 3D shapes and the occasional digital art.
Oscar not only wants to showcase his art but also to combine it with another passion, storytelling. His inspirations come from pop culture media such as animated shows and video games. Oscar finds it exciting to draw something out of this world, wondering what kind of story can take place beyond the art piece. To create something akin to what inspired him. No matter the outlet, Oscar aspires to showcase the many fantastical worlds he's been brainstorming since Elementary School.
